Lincoln Sailing Club is a proud to support the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL) Sailing Club. We also welcome any other College Student Sailors coming back to the Lincoln/Omaha area in the summer to join us and keep sailing!

Junior Sailing /Racing Program

Lincoln Sailing Club organizes a Junior Sailing/Racing Clinic in the summer for Juniors 13-18 years old interested in learning how to sail and race one-design Snipe and Sunfish sailboats. The goal is to develop Junior Sailors that can participate in LSC sponsor events (see below), race competitively in out of state Regattas, join Sailing Teams/Clubs in College or just keep sailing wherever life takes them!

Schedule:

• Day 1: Sunday June 1st, 9 am-1 pm. Introduction to Sailing and Racing

• Day 2: Sunday June 15th, 9 am-1 pm. Snipe Racing

• Day 3: Sunday June 22nd, 1-5 pm. Snipe Racing

• Day 4: Saturday August 2nd, 1-5 pm: Sunfish Racing

• Day 5: Saturday August 23rd, 1-5 pm: Sunfish Racing

LSC sponsored events where Juniors compete include:

• • Fire on the Water Snipe Regatta (June)

  • Cornhusker State Games (July)

  • Nebraska Sunfish Regatta (September)
