Did you know about the mixed fleet racing at Branched Oak? Scores from 2006 here! Our own Larry Briggs is the Race Committee Chairman, see him for details about participating in 2007 or contact me snipe27094@gmail.com and I'll pass it on. I have been taking notice of the growing Trac16 Fleet on the lawn at the lake. These sailors were out in force for the State Games 2006, maybe I can get a ride? See you on the water, Chuck

Saturday Seamanship Days beginning June 3rd and 24th, July 8th and 22nd, August 5th and 19th ending September 9th.

The SS Lincoln Sailing Club sets sail this summer with seven selected Saturdays for members to practice their seamanship skills. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to come out and enjoy sailing.

We are recruiting volunteers to put the committee boat in the water and provide ready aid to sailors in need. We plan to start festivities at 1:00pm. We also need experienced sailors to come out and share your skills.

Commodore Jim Russell has petitioned the Nebraska Game and Parks for permission to put marks in the water and hold a water event. The board hopes the club will turn out to help our beginning and junior sailors and those who are a little rusty on balance and wind. Starting at 1:00pm we will put two marks closer into shore and one further out so members can use the marks for skill building.

At around 3:30pm, the Board hopes to start a fun handicapped race. End of the season awards will be given for most improvement, steepest learning curve etc.

Sailors we need your help providing sailing opportunities for our juniors. We plan on using our newly donated boat from Jim DeMars for beginners but need other boats. Please sign up in the clubhouse for safety/committee boat duty.
